Everyone in our community is very aware that there are many groups less fortunate than ourselves, locally, nationally and internationally. With a strong tradition of helping others in the school and wider community, and as part of the educational goal of good citizenship, the school’s pupils and their families raise funds annually for a range of local, national and international charities, such as NSPCC, Orphans in the Wild, Shelter and The Global Fund for Children. Pupils and their families also engage with the local community directly by supporting initiatives such as collecting and contributing to food and essentials distributed via the local church. Pupils take part in carol-singing for charity and at a local care home. The fundraising achievements are truly remarkable for a small school.
"I like the way the school fosters an awareness in the children of the needs of others."
