Working With Us

We are very fortunate at The Cavendish School to have a stable workforce, and vacancies seldom arise.  Should there be an opportunity to join our team, details of the vacancy and how to apply will be posted on this page.

We are seeking a Music Graduate to join the staff of our unique, friendly and highly regarded IAPS School from September 2021. There is flexibility as to whether the role is full time or part time.

We wish to appoint an inspirational musician with drive and energy who will continue to build on the considerable success of our varied music provision and inspire children to appreciate music in all its forms. You will bring a mix of enjoyment and excellence, in equal measure, to the musical life of the School, working alongside an innovative and highly-aspirational team.

You will be a recent music graduate, holding a relevant degree level qualification with excellent keyboard skills, and will have experience of accompanying ensembles and soloists. There is much energy from the School Leadership Team to expand our musical provision and this role will be fundamental to this. An excellent sense of humour, an ability to work hard and energetic musicianship are key ingredients of this exciting new role.

Potential is as important as experience, so applications are invited from graduates interested in training in the role as well as those who are already qualified and experienced.

To express your interest in this role and to receive an application pack please send an email to Mrs Kerry Dignan, at

Visits by prior arrangement are welcome.

The closing date for applications is 9am on Wednesday 12th May 2021, although applications will be processed as they are received.

Interviews will take place week commencing 17th May. References will be requested for candidates invited for interview prior to their allotted date.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Applicants must undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
